Journal of Sports Therapy

The ‘JST’ ran from 2008 to 2015. Over these years, 11 issues were published. The Journal was hosted by University College Birmingham (and for a period, joint-hosted by Coventry University). There were several different editorial boards during its time of existence, and several different issue editors. I took over as ‘Managing Editor’ in Summer 2012, helping to launch a bespoke website, present a full conference day in Birmingham, and bring three further issues to publication. The JST was formed by a passionate group of like-minded scientific academics and practitioners who saw a gap and wanted to offer a portal and resource to the research world of sports therapy. To publish an academic journal, and to maintain a frequency of publication, is clearly a challenge for any organisation, or individual group – especially when independent and without the backing of an academic publishing house. Due to the various full-time work commitments of those involved, the JST became logistically unfeasible. I don’t believe that any of the JST’s previously published issues are in circulation or available to view online anywhere; so as I still have the full collection in pdf format – and would love them to be freely available, as originally intended – I have made them available here. Please consider the editorial boards, issue editors and article authors when accessing the various issues. All 11 issues are now available to read and download below, from 2008 to 2015. Hopefully, no one will have any issues with intellectual property ownership. Enjoy!
